Re: INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

Postby Volarex » Sat Apr 27, 2013 9:09 am

Hi guys,

I've a problem with Ioncube Loader. when i've installed php 5.3, i get error message like this :

"Ioncube Loader does not seem to be installed/enabled.
It is completely necessary for this software!
Ask your server administrator to install enable latest version of Ioncube Loader"

But, if i change PHP back to version 5, the ioncube loader is OK.

any idea?

thanks

You probably do not have Ioncube enabled in the PHP 5.3 install. Make sure to load it in your php.ini for php 5.3

I get that my site "requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.3.so to be installed by the website operator. If you are the website operator please use the ionCube Loader Wizard to assist with installation"
How to solve this?(hostgator account)

I have set th ioncube 5.3 in php.ini

when you set the correct ioncube loader in the php.ini it should work. Isn't it?

If not, you can pm me your cpanel details and i will go and take a look myself and try to make it working

PHP Sessions Directory is not writable! Ask Your Host Support to fix the Permissions of Directory: /var/lib/php/session
after the mysql credentials step.

Me and my serveradmin spent hours on this problem now and we give up. We tried 2 different server (one vps one dedicated) with the same results. We use CentOS and ZPanel if that info helps you.
We tried everything we can think of. Changing permissions, changing the php.ini to use onother directory for sessions...nothing changes.
Please help...

Well, the script checks the directory in php option "session.save_path" to be writable, as if it is not php sessions won't work. So just make sure the directory in your php.ini in option "session.save_path" is writable

yeah that is basically the first thing we did. Change the permission to 777. But the problem remained. Is there any way around this? maybe don´t nessesarily abort the installer if this happens...?

Hm, never had any issues with that actually.. If the folder exists and is with writable permissions i don't see why it would throw such and error.. Are you sure it is writable by the user under which the script is executed? Also check if your php is in safe_mode or open_basedir restriction is in place

If no luck, let me know and i will do a mod to remove that check for you and provide you a patch..

Yes we were baffled over this as well with no Idea what could cause this error. I forwarded your reply to my serveradmin and that was his response:
alright we dont have php in safe mod
or have open_basedir active
the perms were rotated ranging from nobody to root and apache
didnt help out
plus was chmodded to 755 and 777

so you see, we really, really tried to get this working. But with no luck.
Your mod idea is really appriciated. I hope it´s not too much work.
